Our first 2025 Quarterly Networking Event, “Show Me the Money,” was a high-energy session that brought together forward-thinking women eager to unlock their financial potential. The event featured an exciting roster of speakers including Shamim Okolloh, VP and Community Outreach Officer at Encore Bank; Esperanza Crane, Director of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development at AEDC; Anna Beth Gorman, CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas; and Wendy Orvis, MBA, an experienced business consultant with ASBTDC and UALR. Attendees left inspired and armed with practical tools and strategies to grow their businesses and secure the funding they need to thrive.

Our second Quarterly Event, “How to Rise as a Minority Woman,” was a celebration of resilience and transformative leadership. The evening was charged with energy and empowerment as trailblazing speakers shared their journeys of overcoming obstacles. Tjuana Byrd Manning, Circuit Judge for the State of Arkansas; Lottie Shackelford, former Mayor of Little Rock; and Mimi San Pedro, Executive Advisor at The Venture Center, captivated the audience with their inspiring stories and actionable advice. The event was not only informative but also a fun and exciting reminder that rising above challenges can lead to extraordinary personal and professional growth.
